IPL match analysis : CSK vs DC and KKR vs PWI

In today’s post we will analyze two matches.

VS

It was a much needed victory for the defending champions who has lost the last three matches in a row. CSK has occupied the fourth position in the points table while Deccan Chargers continues to remain on the last position.  Was this a comprehensive win from a side that has won the last two IPL titles? Or was Deccan Chargers more entitled to a win? Irrespective of the victory, both teams have been a disappointment in this IPL season.

We thought of two important things to analyze here.

1. Trend watch on the celebrity players  of both the teams

CSK (Scaled to the total number of comments received by Bravo on 3rd Apr, 2012)

DC (Scaled to the total number of comments received by Bravo on 3rd Apr, 2012)

We have scaled all the team players to the total number of comments received by Bravo on 3rd Apr, 2012. This is essential to compare the team players. Regular peaks only highlighted the fact that people commented on the respective teams on the day of the match. Dhoni seems to be losing popularity to some extent while Suresh Raina is showing signs to become favorite again. It is a sad sad scenario at DC front. Effect of too many defeats?

2. Sentiment watch on the celebrity players  of both the teams

Sentiment watch is measured on a scale of 0 to 100%. A score of 100 % imply total satisfaction for the player and a scale of 0 implies complete dissatisfaction. Regular dip in the sentiment witnessed due to low comments received on the non match days. it is worth noting that both captains have received a relatively low positive score.

Let us move on to KKR vs PWI match. KKR has emerged winners of the much hyped matched between KKR and Pune Warriors at Eden Gardens today.  But it is Dada who has stole the hearts of the people tonight.
